The Programme
Food Works is an accelerator programme for Irish food and drink start-ups. It’s designed to challenge and develop all areas of your company’s business plan across an intensive ten month programme. The ultimate output of the programme is a comprehensive, investor-ready business plan that’s focused on scaling internationally.
Food Works was established in 2012 by Bord Bia, Enterprise Ireland and Teagasc. More than 100 food and drink businesses have accessed the extensive support of Food Works to date. The programme includes workshops with industry experts, customised support from business advisors, facilitated peer-to-peer learning and networking opportunities across the industry.
- The Food Works programme has a market value between €50,000 - €100,000.
- The participation fee is €3,000 per company.
- Participants are eligible to apply for an Enterprise Ireland feasibility grant up to the value of €35,000.
Food Works is designed to help you to critically assess your business model and develop an investor-ready business plan. You will receive a tailor-made plan of business advisor support meetings scheduled across the 10 month programme. Monthly group workshops take place on Tuesdays. We recommend you allocate a minimum of 2-3 days per month to attend meetings and complete preparatory and follow-up work. Additional time should be committed to strategic and commercial thinking to build your investor-ready business plan.
